Malta's Most Enchanted Christmas Experience
The Magical Illuminated Trail celebrates its spectacular 7th. edition, transforming the enchanting Verdala Castle Gardens into a glowing wonderland filled with colour, light and imagination.
From 4th December to 3rd January*, visitors of all ages are invited to embark on an unforgettable journey through breathtaking larger-than-life displays, enchanting worlds and interactive light installations that bring the magic of Christmas to life.

Step into a glowing world of Christmas magic, filled with all-new lanterns, lovable characters and exciting surprises for the whole family!
Explore the colourful Psychedelic Garden, visit Pinocchio’s Workshop and discover what the busy bunnies are baking inside the Bunny Bakery. Wander through the Immersive Tulip Avenue, sing along with our Farm Band and step into the spellbinding Harry Potter Forest.
Watch Verdala Castle come alive through a spectacular immersive projection…and look out for Santa sailing in, Maltese-style— we’ve upgraded his sleigh for a traditional luzzu!
With wonder, laughter and glowing festive moments waiting around every corner, this year’s trail is the perfect Christmas adventure for children and grown-ups alike—and a magical place to create treasured family memories.
The event is proudly supported by the Malta Tourism Authority and held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, making every visit a contribution to a truly wonderful cause.
Tickets
Entry is organized into scheduled 20-minute time slots, giving every visitor plenty of space to explore and enjoy the trail at their own pace.
Allow approximately 60 to 90 minutes for your magical journey, with extra time to wander through the charming Christmas Village and enjoy a delicious selection of food and drinks from the Food Court.
